A Taste of Boracay: Gallery by Chele Gives BGC A Glimpse of His “Sexy Pool Menu”

After making a name for himself in numerous cities across Asia, Manila-based Spanish chef Luis “Chele” Gonzalez has found his rightful home at Aqua Boracay, where his expansive Sexy Pool Menu at The Day Club is a massive hit for tourists and island dwellers.

To give the metropolitan crowd a taste of the dishes served at Aqua Boracay, this world- renowned chef opened the doors of Gallery by Chele to the hungry BGC crowd last July 3. Here, he introduced his island specialties: his premium Fritters, juicy Coconut Tempura, Grilled Shrimp Tacos, Parmesan Nuggets, Tuna Sliders, and his take on the iconic Chori burger.

Premium food at an affordable price
“I want to make [the menu] affordable for Filipinos,” Chef Chele announced. He explains that while the price point makes his dishes accessible to everyone, the quality of the dishes are definitely at a premium.

The chef’s love for the Philippine islands is evident in all his dishes. For the whole menu, Chef Chele had made it a point to incorporate different tropical elements from the islands of the Philippines to which he has paid a visit. According to him, the menu’s creative concept is based on the country’s many tropical destinations.

Spicing it up

The event was made even more exciting by Bali’s King of Cocktails, Raka Ambarawan, who made the party come to life with his amazing cocktail creations. Unique in every aspect, his delicious cocktails continue to shake up the parties at The Day Club at Aqua Boracay. Lucky for those who attended the event at Gallery by Chele, these Boracay-exclusive drinks were made available to them for one night of great food and even greater company.
